Chris Comyns

Chris is a skilled professional with Australian and international experience, including more than 30 years working in steel manufacturing and distribution, surface mining technologies, and customer support. With expertise spanning leadership, manufacturing, distribution and supply chain, health, safety, environment, quality, project management, and sales, Chris has worked with several industry leaders, including BHP, CR Powered by Epiroc, Arrium and OneSteel. Chris joined Vast in July 2024 as General Manager – OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to oversee manufacturing activities and lead the establishment of new manufacturing plants and facilities.

Chris holds an Advanced Diploma of Materials Technology (Metallurgy) and a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Trade) from the Hunter Institute of Technology and a Business Diploma of Frontline Management from Mount Eliza Business School.
